Your first residenceis not the destination.

Obtaining a permit is only one stage.

For many international clients, the real objective is to build a stable position in Spain. That is why we also work on:

Analyse my situation

Subject to the legal conditions and the specific rules on absences.

Renewals

Do not wait for expiry.

A renewal should not begin when only a few days remain.

We analyse in advance:

  • compliance with the requirements
  • periods of residence
  • absences
  • employment situation
  • financial resources
  • family
  • criminal record
  • and any change since the previous permit

Continuity is a strategy.

Long-term residence

Five years can change everything.

Long-term residence (residencia de larga duración) allows you to live and work in Spain indefinitely, subject to the legal conditions.

As a general rule, access to national long-term residence is linked to five years of lawful and continuous residence, taking into account the specific rules on absences.

There is also EU long-term residence (residencia de larga duración-UE, under Directive 2003/109/EC), with its own requirements and effects.

Here the work is not simply a matter of checking whether five years have passed. We analyse:

  • which permits you have held
  • which periods count
  • which absences you have had
  • whether there are interruptions
  • which form may be most suitable
  • and what consequences each option may have

A European dimension

For certain international clients, EU long-term residence may be of particular interest because of its European dimension.

It is not simply a “better card”. It is a different legal status that must be analysed in the light of:

immigration history

residence

financial resources

absences

mobility objectives

and future plans

Important decisions should be discussed in the language in which they are made.

ES·EN·DE·RU

Advising an international client takes more than translation: it takes context.

The right status depends on the life you are building.

Obtaining a permit is only one stage. We can analyse the continuity of your residence before any time limit starts to run.
